<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a joint angle by elongating an axle shaft connected with a differential device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This differential device comprises a differential case 33 rotatably supported at a differential carrier 1 side, a pair of side gears 35, 37 relatively rotatably supported in the differential case 33, and respectively connected with a pair of axle shafts 7, 9, and a pinion gear 39 supported in the differential case 33, and engaged and connected with the side gears 35, 37 for transmitting the rotation between the side gears 35, 37 and permitting the relative rotation of the side gears 35, 37.
