The invention concerns a stator arrangement of a generator (6) for a wind turbine (1) comprising a plurality of stator segments (10) forming substantially the stator (9) of the generator (6), each stator segment (10) has at least one stator winding (12) and/or a laminate stack of sheets (11) wherein each stator segment (10) is moulded or casted into a material (13) with an electrical insulating property and/or with a non-corroding quality and/or with a heat conductive property. The invention concerns also a direct drive generator (6) having such a stator arrangement (8) as well as a wind turbine (1) having such a direct drive generator (6).
