PURPOSE: A carbon body composition capable of being calcined in air condition and a calcination method thereof are provided to introduce potassium phosphate to the carbon body composition in order to improve polishability. CONSTITUTION: A carbon body composition is composed of 60-90wt% carbon body and 10-40wt% frits. The frits are produced with petalite, borax or boric acid as a starting material. A method for calcining the carbon body composition comprises the following steps of: preparing the carbon body composition; molding a molded product with the carbon body composition; and calcining the molded product in air condition.
