PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating alkaline water and a control method thereof are provided to supply the alkaline water of the constant pH continuously, and to supplement natural minerals. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(10) for generating alkaline water comprises the followings: a water supply part supplying the water with a water supply valve(360); a reducing part(400) reducing the water to the alkaline water with natural minerals; a flux controller having a supply valve(320) supplying the water to each point; a detection part detecting pH of the alkaline water with a sensor(500); a control part controlling the pH of the discharged alkaline water; and discharging part discharging the alkaline water with a discharge valve(330).
