PURPOSE: A vehicle navigation device and a method thereof are provided to offer correct map matching information about a multi-layered road by matching the driving road on the map data. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle navigation method includes the following steps of: extracting a candidate link adjacent to location data from map data(S120); determining a final link based on a GPS signal received through a GPS receiver and the candidate link information(S160); matching the determined final link on the map data; making the road guide information(S170); and outputting the road guide information(S190).
