<p>[PROBLEMS] To provide a label printer in which a band-like medium to be printed is easily set without performing complicated operation of inserting the medium to be printed through a gap between an upper blade and lower blade of a cutter mechanism. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] The label printer has a body frame (16) having a lower blade (14) attached to it and an upper cover (25) having an upper blade (13) attached to it and opening and closing the upper part of the body frame (16). The upper blade (13) is separated from the lower blade (14) when the upper cover (25) is opened. The upper blade (13) is attached to an upper blade holder (24). A sliding contact piece (28) coming into sliding contact with an upper frame (18) when the upper cover (25) and the upper frame (18) are rotated independently of each other is attached to the upper blade holder (24). When the sliding contact piece (28) comes into sliding contact with the upper frame (18), the upper blade holder (24) is swung by external force from the upper frame (18) to prevent contact between the upper blade (13) and the upper frame (18), enabling the upper cover (25) to be separated from the upper frame (18).</p> |
