<p>PURPOSE: A device for generating a movement direction code by the movement of touch position, and a method thereof are provided to enable the movement of dragging at a certain regular distance regardless of the direction of drag on a touch screen and to generate a movement direction code at a regular rate. CONSTITUTION: A method for generating a movement direction code by the movement of touch position comprises the steps of: overlapping a certain region with cells adjacent to a virtual reference cell to which a current touch point belong; generating a movement direction code according to the position that meets the boundary of the reference cell by moving the contact point; setting a new cell based on an adjacent cell that is placed at a point corresponding to the movement direction code; making the reference cell and the adjacent cells to be arranged in grid; and generating a coordinate value by the generated movement direction code.</p> |
