PURPOSE: A radar detector connected to an external display device is provided to transmit visual and audio information to a driver through the link with a navigation system and an LCD device. CONSTITUTION: A signal processor detects a signal received by a horn antenna(110). A warning unit warns the detected signal visually or aurally. A data transmission terminal is connected to the external digital device and a data cable and performs the data communication through the corresponding data cable. A radar detector controller(155A) blocks the signal provided from the warning unit when the data transmission terminal is connected to the data cable. A radar detector controller converts the information detected by the signal processor into a digital signal and outputs the digital signal to the outside through the data transmission terminal. A navigation operator(215) displays the position information through an LCD by overlapping the position information received through a GPS signal receiver with the geographic information stored in an internal and external memory(213).
