<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel chemical reactor which requires no outside electric power source. SOLUTION: This chemical reactor is provided with an energy conversion part 7 for generating electric power from an object substance to be treated and a chemical reaction part 8 which is integrated with the energy conversion part and promotes a chemical reaction of the objective substance. The chemical reaction is promoted in the chemical reaction part 8 by the electric power generated in the energy conversion part 7. Preferably, the energy conversion part 7 is a thermoelectric conversion element for generating electric power from the thermal energy which the objective substance contains and the chemical reaction part is provided with an adsorptive phase for selectively adsorbing the objective substance and the objective substance may be nitrogen oxide.</p> |
