PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable resetting of an integrated operation time even at other time than a cleaning timing of a filter by a reset and emergency button through a method to control an air conditioner. SOLUTION: In a method for controlling an air conditioner, contamination of the filter of an indoor machine is monitored by a integrated operation time, and when the integrated operation time reaches a given value, an alarm to prompt cleaning of the filer is effected, and when operation start control is effected by a remote control 6, advance from a step ST1 to a ST2 is effected. A combination button 3 functions as a reset button of integrated time operation and when the operation is not effected, the combination button 3 functions as an emergency button (a step ST5). When operation stop control is effected by the remote control 6, advance from a step ST11 to a step ST13 is executed. The combination button 3 functions as a reset button of integrated operation time. When the control is effected, the combination button 3 functions as an emergency button (a step ST12). |
