<p>An auxiliary drive mountable to a reel mower cutting unit (100) includes an auxiliary drive input shaft (139) engageable to a cutting reel shaft (104) of the reel mower cutting unit (100). The auxiliary drive transmits rotational power to an attachment rotatably mounted to the reel mower cutting unit (100). The auxiliary drive has a housing with a flange positionable on a boss (142, 163) concentric with the cutting reel shaft (104). A plurality of holes (145, 147) extend through the flange (141, 163), and a circumferential groove (143, 150) extends at least partially around the boss (142, 163). A retaining clip (144) is inserted through the holes (145, 147) in the flange (141, 163) and into the circumferential groove (143, 150) to axially retain the auxiliary drive housing to the boss (142, 163) while allowing the auxiliary drive housing to pivot on the cutting reel shaft (104).</p> |
