The device (10) has a T-shaped removable plug closing an upper end (11a) of an oil filling enclosure i.e. tubular channeling wall (11). The plug has a separation element (15) defining an upstream zone (Z1) that contains untreated gas and is communicated with a case of a heat engine i.e. internal combustion engine. The element defines a downstream zone (Z2) that contains treated gas i.e. blow by gas, and is communicated with an outlet orifice (S). The wall has a lower end arranged at the side of the zone (Z1). A filter medium (16) i.e. oil coalescer, is interposed inside the enclosure.
