The gearbox has gear ratios (C, 1') for departure of a vehicle in severe and normal starting conditions, respectively. The gear ratio (C) is defined to provide speed less than that of the gear ratio (1') for given engine speed. A higher gear ratio (5') is defined with respect to a last higher gear ratio of a standard gearbox such as gearbox without departure ratios. Intermediate ratios (2', 3', 4') are regularly distributed between the gear ratio (5') and the gear ratio (1'). An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a gearbox.
|
