PURPOSE: A switch protect cover structure for a steam iron is provided to protect moisture ruing down an iron main body into a switch by installing a switch cover. CONSTITUTION: In a switch protect cover structure for a steam iron, a water tank is kept in an iron main body. A steam hose is installed in the iron main body and steam generated from internal side is guided through the steam hose. A steam head is combined at the end of the steam hose and steam is discharged through the steam head. A switch(12), controlling a operation power, is installed at the iron main body and a protective cover(20) are mounted together with the switch. The protective cover surrounds the switch, and a protrusion in which the switch is mounted is the interior side of the protective cover.
