<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a composite material where a laminar silicate is highly dispersed in a polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the composite material comprises a first mixing step of mixing the laminar silicate with at least one solvent which is liquid at ordinary temperature and pressure and/or at least one solvent which is gaseous at ordinary temperature and pressure, a second mixing step of heating and pressurizing the solvent to convert at least one of the solvents into a high-temperature high-pressure fluid or a supercritical fluid and continuing mixing in this state thereby enlarging the interlayer distance in the laminar silicate, and a step of bringing at least one polymer soluble in the solvent into the state of being dissolved in the mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
