<p>The method involves moving an optical sensor (24) to a closed circumferential path i.e. circular path, relative to a sensor head (16). The sensor head is moved along a surface (19) of a transparent glass plate (18). Measuring signals of the optical sensor are continuously detected. A sensor position of the sensor is determined, where the sensor passes an edge (20) of the glass plate. An absolute sensor position of the sensor is determined relative to the plate from the sensor position, so that an edge course of the plate is obtained. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a glass pane machining method (2) a device for detecting an edge course of a plate i.e. glass plate.</p> |
