PURPOSE: A support device for a carrying rope and a method for checking the carrying rope are provided to check with the naked eyes of an operator and remove an additional rope. CONSTITUTION: A support device for a carrying rope comprises a shoe(12) and a supporting part. The supporting part accommodates some part of a cable and located on the shoe. The supporting part is segmented with a base partition(13i). The base partition is located on a center part adjacent to the shoe and moves away from the carrying rope after removing a core(14).
