PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing saponin fraction isolated from ginseng is provided to activate phagocytosis of macrophage. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for activating phagocytosis of macrophage or enhancing immunity contains ginseng saponin fraction as an active ingredient. The total crude saponin(TS), panaxadioldiolsaponin(PDS), panaxadioltriol-saponin(PTS) fraction of ginseng enhances phogocytosis of the macrophage at the proper concentration.
