PURPOSE: An optical fiber cable with high waterproof property and a waterproof tape are provided to prevent the waterproof tape from being damaged by minimizing the tension stress of the waterproof tape when the optical fiber cable is deformed. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber cable includes a tensile line(27), an optical fiber unit(21), a buffer tube(22), and a sheath(24). The optical fiber unit includes one or more optical fiber cores. The buffer tube surrounds the optical fiber unit. The sheath surrounds one or more buffer tubes and the outside of the tensile line. The optical fiber cable includes a waterproof tape with the waterproof powder. The thickness of the waterproof tape is between 0.15 and 0.35 mm. The tensile strength is between 8 and 20 kgf per 30mm.
