PURPOSE: A remote recording method and a system therefor are provided to transmit an individual message while integrally managing a state of a broadcasting receiving terminal by using a common server and a client structure for transceiving each message. CONSTITUTION: A remote recording method using each messaging server connected to a PVR(Personal Video Recorder) server comprises the following steps. State information of broadcasting receiving terminals is maintained. An individual message transmission request for recording in a broadcasting receiving terminal designated by the PVR server is received(S1014). The individual message is transmitted to an individual messaging client installed in the broadcasting receiving terminal(S1022). The individual messaging client transmits recording reservation information included in the individual message to a PVR client.
