LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a greenish phenomenon and a shift phenomenon of a common voltage by preventing deflection of the polarity. CONSTITUTION: Data lines and gate lines are crossed in a liquid crystal display panel(50). Liquid crystal cells are arranged in a matrix type in the liquid crystal display panel. A horizontal polarity controller inverts the logic of the horizontal polarity conversion signal by comparing the digital video data with a critical value when the polarity of the digital video data is deflected. A data driving circuit(52) converts the digital video data into positive/negative data voltages and controls the horizontal polarity inversion cycle of the data voltages in response to the horizontal polarity conversion signal. A gate driving circuit(53) supplies a scan signal to the gate lines.
