METHOD FOR REDUCING THERMAL SHOCK OF REACTOR VESSOL BELTLINE AND A THERMAL SLEEVE

PURPOSE: A method for protecting a belt line of a reactor vessel from thermal shock and a thermal shock protection plate are provided to improve safety of a reactor by preventing the sudden change of the temperature. CONSTITUTION: A thermal shock buffer unit is installed in an inner circumference of a belt line(12) of a reactor vessel(1) for a light water reactor. The safety of the belt line is improved by buffering the pressure thermal shock by not contacting the inner wall of the belt line with the water of a downcomer(11). The thermal shock buffer unit is comprised of a plate(13) corresponding to the thermal deformation absorption and the vibration.
