PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical formulation for treating cardiovascular diseases is provided to enhance drug effect than administering two components of drug separately and reduce side effects. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical formulation for treating cardiovasclular diseases contains a immediate release compartment and sustained release compartment. The immediate release compartment comprises an irbesartan as a pharmacologically active ingredient or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The sustained release compartment contains an amlodipine as a pharmacologically active ingredient and its isomer or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. 80 % or more of irbesartan is released within 30 minutes after releasing the irbesartan.
