摘要 |
PURPOSE: A fringe in-plane field switching liquid crystal display is provided to improve transmittance between pixel electrodes by applying the voltage with different polarity between two pixel electrodes through two thin film transistors. CONSTITUTION: A transparent common electrode(4) is formed on a lower transparent substrate. An insulation layer(5) is coated on the common electrode. A data line is formed on the insulation layer. One pixel electrode is divided into a first pixel electrode(6) and a second pixel electrode(7). The voltage with different polarity is applied to the pixel electrode through a thin film transistor connected to each pixel electrode. The in-plane electric field is formed between the pixel electrodes of two groups. The fringe electric field is formed between the common electrodes facing each other.
