PURPOSE: A method for displaying a received message and a communication terminal therefor are provided to highlight a corresponding word when a word included in a received message is stored in a dictionary, thereby provoking interest of a message receiver. CONSTITUTION: A method for displaying a received message comprises the following steps. A word included in the received message is compared with information stored in a dictionary(S210). It is determined whether the word is stored in a dictionary(S220). When the word is stored in the dictionary according to the determination result, the word included in the received message is highlighted(S240). The received message including the highlighted word is displayed(S250).
