PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to prevent static electricity from being concentrated and flown in a corner when static electricity moves from a lower electrode to a storage electrode, thereby preventing an insulating film between an upper electrode and the lower electrode from being burnt. CONSTITUTION: A display device includes the first substrate, a thin film transistor(TR), the second semiconductor pattern, a storage electrode(160), a pixel electrode(PE), and the second substrate. The thin film transistor is equipped on the first substrate. The thin film transistor has the first semiconductor pattern as a lower film. The second semiconductor pattern is extended from the first semiconductor pattern. The storage electrode is equipped on the second semiconductor pattern. The storage electrode covers a front surface of the second semiconductor pattern in a plane type. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the thin film transistor. The second substrate faces the first substrate.
