FIELD: instrument making. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is related to packing, mostly soft packing, intended for operation in packing glands with axial tension. Part of packing sealing surface is arranged with indents that make more than 50% of this surface part, and other part of packing sealing surface is arranged with indents that make less than 50% of this surface part, at the same time indents of various size serially alternate. ^ EFFECT: provision of sealing capacity at lower axial tensions and reduced wear of packing gland, surface of packing is arranged in the form of alternating indents and protrusions. |
