FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be applied for selection of treatment tactics in patients with ulcer duodenal bleeding. Clinical signs of gastrointestinal bleeding renewal are detected in patient. Repeated fibrogasteroduodenal examination is carried out. In stomach and duodenum lumen blood is detected as well as diagnosed during first fibrogasteroduodenal examination duodenum ulcer. Ulcer size is measured again. If there is no reduction of ulcer size conclusion of presence of ulcer duodenal bleeding recurrence is made and performing of urgent operative intrusion is considered advisable. If beginning of ulcer defect epithelisation is detected, presence of repeated bleeding from ulcer is determined and question about operation and its urgency is solved individually depending on characteristics of developed bleeding episode. ^ EFFECT: method allows to improve results of treatment of patients with ulcer duodenal bleeding due to specification of indices for urgent operation. ^ 1 ex
