Device for supporting a fibrous web comprises an inlet opening (10) for the web, where the inlet opening comprises a converging surface, which in relation to a running track of the web converges in the direction of the web to insist a leading air flow from the web through the converging surface, and the web is provided between pressure zones formed by itself. An independent claim is also included for supporting the fibrous web in the inlet opening for the web, comprising: providing at least one converging surface in the inlet opening, which in relation to a running track of the web converges in the direction of the web; and forming a web supporting pressure by insisting the leading air flow from the web through the converging surface, and forming the web between the pressure zones formed by itself. |
