The assembly has a solid cage body (1) introduced by impaction into an intervertebral space (E), and a nose (36) for introducing the cage body into the intervertebral space. The nose is integrally connected to the cage body in an eccentric position such that the rotation of the nose simultaneously induces an opening of the intervertebral space and a displacement of the cage body similar to that of a cam, when the nose is introduced into the intervertebral space. An independent claim is also included for an insertion ancillary for inserting a prosthesis assembly.
