<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably support a column regardless of the size of a liquid chromatographic column. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The column 7 is rotated in a direction to screw the thread ridge of a column mounting cylinder 36 to the thread groove of a protrusion 3 in a slightly engaged state of the thread ridge in the vicinity of the tip of the column mounting cylinder 36 and the thread groove formed on the inner surface of the protrusion 3 of the column 7. When the thread ridge of the column mounting cylinder 36 and the thread groove of the protrusion 3 are fastened most tightly and screwed to complete mounting of the protrusion 3 of the column 7 to the column mounting cylinder 36, a movable plate 35 is located above the lowermost position in a movable range. Springs 33a, 33b are thereby placed in the most contracted state to generate biasing force of biasing a movable member 32 including the movable plate 35 downward by the restoring force of going to return to the original state.
