<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting phenolic resin composition without generating gaseous ammonium upon curing, and a phenolic resin cured product obtained from the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This thermosetting phenolic resin composition includes a transition metal oxidative coupling catalyst of 0.01-10 wt.%, and is cured by the use of an oxidative coupling reaction.
