<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver which enables a leader provided derrickingly and tiltably via first and second supporting shafts orthogonal to each other to be easily attached to/detached from a base machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This pile driver is equipped with the first supporting shaft 21 which is directed in the width direction of a vehicle body and rotatably provided in a front bracket 14 in the front of the base machine 13, and the second supporting shaft which penetrates the center of the first supporting shaft in the longitudinal direction of the leader so as to make the leader tiltably supported in the horizontal direction of the vehicle body. The first supporting shaft is horizontally arranged in a position orthogonal to the axis line of the leader; the front bracket 14 is split into an arm 25 which is provided in the base machine 13, and an adapter 26 which is rotatably provided on the first supporting shaft 21; and the arm and the adapter are detachably coupled together by means of a coupling pin 30.
