FRONT PART STRUCTURE OF VEHICLE BODY

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy both requirements of arranging a catalyst near an engine and assuring a clash stroke at the time of front collision. Ž<P>SOLUTION: DPF container 46 extends in an upper region of a trans-axle 32 connected to a lateral engine 30 and in a forward or rearward direction of a vehicle body. A centrifugal type turbo-charger 44 is arranged at the front side of a forward exhausting type engine 30 and an inter-cooler 58 is arranged at a compressor 56. The DPF container 46 is connected to an exhaust turbine 72 by a short first exhaust pipe 80 and a second exhaust pipe 82 extending rearward from an engine room 3 after being bent downward is connected to the rear end of the DPF container 46. A third intake pipe 66 for use in connecting the inter-cooler 58 to the intake manifold 60 extends in an upper region at a side opposite in a vehicle width direction to the DPF container 46 placed at the upper end of the lateral engine 30.
