BLOW-MOLDED FOAM AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A blow-molded foam which has cells with an even size, is lightweight, and has a highly smooth surface. Also provided is a process for producing the foam. The blow-molded foam (1) comprises a wall part formed by blow-molding a thermoplastic resin containing a blowing agent mixed therewith. The wall part has a closed-cell structure having cells and has an expansion ratio of 2.0 or higher. The outer surface of the wall part has a center-line average surface roughness (Ra) less than 9.0 µm, and the cells have a standard deviation of cell diameter, as determined in the wall-part thickness direction, less than 40 µm.
