<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic treatment method and a composition, for maintaining nerve pathways of mammalian cells. <P>SOLUTION: The method is for enhancing the survivability of neurons at risk of dyeing and comprises supplying a composition containing morphogen with a sufficient concentration for a sufficient time to neurons in order to reinforce survivability of neurons. The morphogen has one sequence selected from the group consisting of OP-1.
