摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance maintainability by measuring the propagation delay time and discriminating the propriety of optical transmission state between a station and a subscriber. <P>SOLUTION: A delay measurement instruction optical packet transmitting section 11 transmits a delay measurement instruction optical packet for measuring the propagation delay time of optical signal between a station and a subscriber. A photodetection section 12 photodetects a delay measurement response optical packet which is redirected from each subscriber and converts the optical packet into an electrical signal, an amplifying section 13 amplifies the electrical signal. A packet detection section 14 detects the reception of the delay measurement response optical packet from the output signal from the amplification section 13 and outputs a packet-detecting signal. With the packet-detecting signal as a trigger, a level-holding section 15 holds the level of the electrical signal. A status discriminating section 16 recognizes the propagation delay time by the timing, when a delay measurement response optical packet is received, and discriminates the optical transmission state between the station and the subscriber, from the level of the electrical signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
