摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain early recognition of an obstacle and early execution of control of operation equipment to the obstacle in an obstacle detector for vehicle for controlling the operation equipment according to a detection state of an obstacle detection means. <P>SOLUTION: Whether an obstacle is detected is determined (S21), and whether an obstacle detected by a forward milliwave radar 3 is matched to an obstacle detected by a backward milliwave radar 4 is determined (S22). When both the obstacles are not matched, the procedure is shifted to S23, and when both are matched, the procedure is immediately shifted to S23 to perform PCS control. In S23, whether the detected obstacle is a one detected continuously a predetermined number of times is determined. When the object is a one detected the predetermined number of times or less or detected first, the process is returned to S21 because of the possibility of false detection of obstacle by electromagnetic noise to detect the object again.
