<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for regulating the amount of a developer, wherein the blade abuts on a developer carrier at proper pressure, can apply a proper triboelectric charging to a toner and can secure a proper toner-intake opening between the blade and the developer carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The blade for regulating the amount of the developer includes at least a support member and an elastic member and regulates the amount of the developer carried out from a developer container while the developer is carried by the developer carrier. The elastic member is located at the tip portion on a side of an abutment portion to the developer carrier of the support member. The curvature radius (r) of a surface abutting on the developer carrier is 0.15 to 1.50 mm; the 25% modulus of the elastic member in accordance with JIS K6254 is 0.9 to 5.0 MPa; and the thickness of the support member is 0.05 to 0.20 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
