<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the inclination of a slide upon eccentric loading in a press machine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An slide inclination reduction device comprises: load detection apparatuses 17 detecting loads received from die height regulation apparatuses 13 provided at both the sides of a slide and regulating the die height of the slide 11, respectively; and a right-left load difference detection section 19 obtaining the loads detected by the load detection apparatuses 17 on both the sides, respectively, and detecting the difference between the loads, and, when the load difference by the inclination of the slide 11 is detected by the right-left load difference detection section 19, the oil pressure of the die height regulation apparatuses 13 is regulated, so as to reduce the inclination of the slide 11 caused by eccentric loading.
