PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To travel at a proper speed, when actually traveling a slowdown section by considering the road condition and the surrounding environment for each slowdown section, such as, the width of a road of the slowdown section traveled by a vehicle, quality of the view, and the presence of a bank and a cliff. SOLUTION: The vehicle driving support system includes an environment information acquiring part 13 for acquiring road environment information in a slowdown section, before entering the slowdown section, and an inter section passing speed calculating part 15 for calculating an optimal intersection pass speed, according to the road environment of the slowdown section based on the road environment information from the environment information acquiring part 13, and controls a vehicle speed to be the optimal inter section pass speed calculated by the inter section passing speed calculating part 15, in actually traveling the slowdown section.
