PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric washing machine enabling a reduction of an amount of waterproofing resin used for a substrate in order to achieve cost reduction. SOLUTION: The electric washing machine includes a body-side operating part 20 provided on a washing machine body and a remote control 70 for remotely controlling the washing machine. The body-side operating part is provided with an operating panel 21 having only a power button 31, the substrate 23 arranged on the back of the operating panel 21 inside the washing machine body, a substrate case 22 for storing the substrate 23, and the waterproofing resin 24. The substrate 23 is provided with a power switch 32 operated by the power button 31 and a remote control signal receiving circuit 33.
