<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that protects content data taking usability and palatability into consideration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording device includes a writing means 32 for writing the content data in a first recording medium, a content reproducing means 24 for reproducing the content data written in the first recording medium, a reproduction time management means 36 for managing reproduction number of times, a selecting means 33 for selecting the content data from the first recording device in order of reproduction number of times, and a moving means 31 that not only outputs at least one content data out of the selected content data to the second recording medium but also erases the content data from the first recording medium.
