<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pixel transistor deterioration due to light emitted from an organic electroluminescent device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An electroluminescence display panel 10 includes: a pixel electrode 20a and pixel transistors 21, 22 each formed on the upper face of a substrate 2; a protective insulating film 32 formed so as to cover the outer peripheral part of the pixel electrode 20a and the pixel transistors 21, 22; a partition wall 6 formed above the protective insulating film 32; a light-absorbing layer 8 formed above the partition wall 6; an organic compound layer 20b formed above the pixel electrode 20a; and an counter electrode 20e formed above the organic compound layer 20b, the partition wall 6, and the light absorbing layer 8.
