Disclosed is a joint product suitable as a cutting tool that, even when the temperature of a brazing filler metal is raised to an elevated temperature above a liquid phase producing temperature during cutting, does not cause a lowering in joint strength of a joining layer and is suitable, for example, for high-speed cutting and CVD coating treatment. Specifically, the joint product comprises a cemented carbide sintered compact as a first joining material (1) to be joined and a cBN sintered compact or a diamond sintered compact as a second joining material (3) to be joined. The first joining material (1) and the second joining material (3) are joined to each other through a jointing material (2), which is interposed between the first joining material (1) and the second joining material (3) and does not produce a liquid phase at a temperature below 1000°C. The joining is carried out by electric heating while pressing at pressure of 0.1 MPa to 200 MPa. |
