CYCLODEXTRIN COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

A process which comprises the step (P1) of adding cyclodextrin (1) under alkaline conditions, the step (P2) of adding amorphous silica (2) to the system, and the step (P3) of adding an epoxy compound (3) such as epichlorohydrin, ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether or butanediol diglycidyl ether to the resulting system, wherein a material (4) (such as wood chips, cellulose compounds, or plastics) which can serve as a medium to support cyclodextrin polymer in composite material is added before the step (P3), simultaneously with the epoxy compound (3), or during the step (P3), whereby a composite material (multi-component material) (10) containing a cyclodextrin polymer crosslinked with the epoxy compound is obtained. The composite material can be provided in arbitrary size and in arbitrary shape.
