PIGMENT DISPERSION, COLORING COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, COLOR FILTER, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion exhibiting both high contrast and adequate dispersion stability when a brominated zinc phthalocyanine green pigment is used, and to provide a coloring composition for color filters having good development using the pigment dispersion.

SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion includes a pigment, a solvent, and a dispersing agent, wherein the pigment includes brominated zinc phthalocyanine, and the dispersing agent includes a dispersing agent having an amine number of not less than 80 mg-KOH/g and not more than 150 mg-KOH/g in terms of the effective solid content. The use of the pigment dispersion is also disclosed.
