<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate, exhibiting safe and excellent developability and processing performance in a one liquid process by a processing liquid in a weak alkali pH range, preferably a processing liquid having a pH of 8.5 to 10.5. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a lithographic printing plate includes steps of: preparing a lithographic printing precursor having an image forming layer containing an IR absorbent, a polymerization initiator, an ethylenically unsaturated compound and a binder polymer on a hydrophilic support; imagewisely exposing the lithographic printing plate precursor; and processing the imagewisely exposed lithographic printing plate precursor with a processing liquid containing a carbonate ion, a hydrogen carbonate ion and a water-soluble polymer compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
