<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire using a film layer as an inner liner layer, wherein the film layer can be pasted onto a molded base having a curved face along its shape with no wrinkles, and to provide its manufacturing method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire uses the film layer 11 which is formed of a thermoplastic resin or such a thermoplastic elastomer composition that an elastomer is blended into a thermoplastic resin, as the inner liner layer 8. In this case, the film layer 11 consists of a plurality of split pieces 11a-11c split in a tire radial direction, and the split pieces 11a-11c of the film layer are spliced together on at least one position in the tire radial direction. Particularly, the plurality of split pieces 11a-11c of the film layer 11, split in the tire radial direction, are prepared, the split pieces 11a-11c of the film layer are pasted onto the molded base such as a rigid core 20 having the curved face to form the inner liner layer 8, and a non-vulcanized tire 30 including the inner liner layer 8 is molded and vulcanized.
