<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece discharge device capable of stably discharging a workpiece to the outside of a main shaft at the inside of the main shaft, and also to provide a machine tool equipped with the workpiece discharge device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pressing rod 8 contacting with the end of the workpiece W and a storage body 9 slidably mounted on the pressing rod 8 to store the end of the workpiece W are arranged at the inside of the main shaft 1 holding the workpiece W. The storage body 9 is elastically positioned at the leading end side of the pressing rod 8 to allow the pressing rod 8 and the storage body 9 to integrally slidably move toward the leading end of the main shaft 1 in a state that the end, at the inside of the main shaft 1, of the workpiece W released from being held is stored in the storage body 9. A regulation part which comes into contact with the storage body 9 during integral movement of the pressing rod 8 and the storage body 9, regulates the movement of the storage body 9, and allows the movement of the pressing rod 8 is arranged at the inside of the main shaft 1. The workpiece W is pushed out from the storage body 9 and is discharged to the outside of the main shaft 1 by the pressing rod 8 through the movement of the pressing rod 8 after the storage body 9 and the regulation part come into contact with each other.
